NEPA Bartender’s Ball recognizes industry members and holds awards ceremony

James T. Graham, president of Graham Public Relations, announced on Tuesday that the Northeastern Pennsylvania Bartender’s Ball will be held on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton. The event will recognize bar and restaurant industry members who own, manage, or work in NEPA.

Attendees will be treated to an hour of champagne, beer, and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a two-hour top-shelf open bar and buffet. This year’s beneficiaries include the Scranton Police and Fire Departments.

In addition, on the night of the event there will be an award ceremony for the service industry and civil service’s best. The categories are:

Bartender of the Year
Chef of the Year
Manager of the Year
Entertainer of the Year
Bar of the Year
Best Nightlife
Best Restaurant
Best Service
Hometown Hero
Officer of the Year
Firefighter of the Year

Voting is still being held on the event’s website.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at nepabartendersball.com for $50 or at the door on the night of the event for $60; special police and firefighter tickets are only $25. The event at the Radisson (700 Lackawanna Ave., Scranton) is open to the public and is black tie optional.

Donations for the ball are being solicited at the levels of Silver ($250), Gold ($500) and Platinum ($750). To be the sole sponsor representing a facet of the industry, donations are being solicited in the amount of $5,000, comprised of a combination of monetary donations and trade in-kind.
