From a press release:

On Thursday, Feb. 19 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., a night of fun and games will take over at The Cooperage in Honesdale. Dust off your board games, do some stretches, and get ready for a night of friendly competition during Game Night, described below:

Winter is here. The snow is falling. It gets dark early. Activities are limited. Enough with the complaining. Come on down to game night at The Cooperage! Game night is a great way to get out of the house during these long winter months. And guess what? Besides the entertainment, board games are educational, improve working memory, planning, reasoning, attention and concentration, all while being disguised in a fun-filled game.

So, if you love games (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?) then get out of the house, bring your whole family down to the The Cooperage on for a night of games. Bring your favorite game if you’d like. We’re willing to try anything. (Well, almost anything!) The heat will be on!

The Cooperage (1030 Main St., Honesdale) will have all types of games to play – from board games to card games to brain games: Scrabble, Twister, Monopoly, Chess, Checkers, Dominos, Dominion, Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, and Fluxx, to name a few.

Donations are greatly appreciated, and snacks available for purchase. The Cooperage is operated by The Cooperage Project, a nonprofit organization that seeks to build community through performance, learning, and good times.
