Beer: Founders Breakfast Stout

Brewer: Founders Brewing Company

Style: American Double/ Imperial Stout

ABV: 8.30%

Description: Founders Breakfast Stout pours a deep midnight black with a frothy dark brown head that leaves a thin wisp of lacing on the glass. The aroma is filled with cold pressed coffee notes and rich dark chocolate. The taste follows the nose, with fresh coffee appearing first with backing notes of bitter dark chocolate and hints of earthy hops. Notes of oats are also present but are more apparent in the incredibly smooth mouthfeel that Breakfast Stout possesses. The full body and low carbonation make for an incredibly smooth beer that you will not want to put down.

Breakfast Stout has a stellar reputation within the craft beer community that grows stronger every year upon its release. All fans of stouts or craft beer in general absolutely must try this world-class beer!

Ideal music: The impending St. Patrick’s Day holiday, combined with a stout of any variety, will always make a case for great Irish drinking music. However, no old men wearing cable knit sweaters need apply; Irish music that makes you want to really move, and drink, of course, is what bests pairs with this beer.
