Scranton Tomorrow has announced that Lackawanna County will be a presenting sponsor for the fifth annual “Drive in Downtown” free outdoor summer movie series on Lackawanna County Courthouse Square.

Held on the 200 block of North Washington Avenue, the series kicks off tonight, July 16, with “Annie.” Drive in Downtown will also feature “Big Hero 6” on July 23, “Muppets Most Wanted” on Aug. 6, and “The Incredibles” on Aug. 20. All movies will begin at dusk.

Children’s pre-show activities begin at 7:30 p.m. and are being hosted by Hildebrandt Learning Centers, the Lackawanna County Library System, and Little Hands Big Art. Free popcorn is being provided by Elm Park United Methodist Church.
