From a press release:

The F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre has announced a partnership with Wells Fargo that will help underwrite some of the venue’s most popular mainstream programming for the next three seasons.

The upcoming Wells Fargo Concerts and Comedy Series already includes performances by Gordon Lightfoot, Jackson Browne, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt, The Beach Boys, and The Wizards of Winter, with more performances to be added in the near future.

Partnerships like this help make the Kirby Center a relevant and vital part of the arts community on northeastern Pennsylvania.

“We simply cannot do what we do without the generosity of this great community, and Wells Fargo has been among the most generous,” said Will Beekman, executive director of the F.M. Kirby Center.

“We’re very excited and thankful to be adding another level to our existing relationship.”

Revenue from the Kirby Center’s mainstream programming helps underwrite the venue’s investment in its Signature Series and all of its arts and education programs. That mainstream programming has grown in recent years to include marquee performances by Tony Bennett, Steve Martin, Elvis Costello, John Legend, Jerry Seinfeld, ZZ Top, Heart, Daniel Tosh, and many more.

The current Wells Fargo Concerts and Comedy Series schedule is as follows:

Gordon Lightfoot – Sunday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m.
Jackson Browne – Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10 p.m.
Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt – Friday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m.
The Beach Boys – Sunday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
The Wizards of Winter – Friday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m.
