PHOTOS: Summer Spotlight at F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, 07/17/15

The Chandelier Lobby of the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre has hosted some amazing national performers (such as Josh Ritter back in May), but on Friday, July 17, eight local acts took the small stage and proved that just as much talent can come right here from Northeastern Pennsylvania during the Summer Spotlight.

The intimate audience of over 80 people enjoyed a night of eclectic fun with comedians Dan Hoppel and Zack Hammond, acoustic musicians Adam Bailey and Fiddy Shades, spoken word artist The Carlton, poet and NEPA Scene founder/editor Rich Howells, and full bands Katie Kelly and the Charming Beards and Mock Sun, many coming together from the NEPA Scene Open Mic and NEPA Scene’s Got Talent.

Each short set offered something different, and just when it seemed the show couldn’t be any more unpredictable, Jeremy Romani, a.k.a. Fiddy Shades, ended his performance by proposing to his girlfriend:
