The third annual Arts on the Square festival was another fun and exciting success, bringing “paintings, crafts, technology, music, dance, and much more” out on a beautiful summer day on Saturday, July 25.

Organized by ScrantonMade with the help of Lackawanna County and many other local partners, the free event kept Courthouse Square bustling from noon-8 p.m. and had something for everyone, with over 100 vendors, children’s activities, food trucks, mural painting, games, and live music all day, featuring Roy Williams and The Human Hands, Skip Monday, The Bog Swing Group, Coal Town Rounders, and Rogue Chimp on the Highway 81 Revisited Stage and Brian TV, Heavy Blonde, Cherokee Red, and Family Animals on the Summersteps Records Stage. Photos of all the bands’ sets are forthcoming.
