Raymond the Amish Comic will be coming up from Amish country to perform live in Scranton on Saturday, Aug. 15.

The show will take place at Laugh Out Lepka’s Comedy Club on the second floor of Tequila Mexican Bar & Grill (320 Penn Ave., Scranton). Dave Savage will be hosting, with John Walton and Half & Half featuring.

Tickets are $18, which includes a free drink compliments of Laugh Out Lepka’s Comedy. Tickets can be purchased at Tequila, by visiting amishscrantoncomedy.eventbrite.com, or by calling 570-357-2693. Birthday parties and other celebrations are welcome.

Raymond the Amish Comic has been performing stand-up for the past 23 years, recently performing at Comic Strip Live in New York City, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, and Valley Forge Casino Resort. He’s also been on the “Miserable Men Show” on Howard 101 and “Opie and Anthony” on Sirius Satellite Radio. Raymond has developed a cult-like following, selling out small theaters, firehalls, comedy clubs, and fundraising events.

Raymond the Amish Comic was part of “The Gong Show Live” and appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” MTV, Comedy Central, and in the Tim Allen film “For Richer or Poorer.”
