SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Aspen (Pomeranian) and Annie and Allie (tabby kittens)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features one dog, one cat, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.
Aspen is a two-year-old Pomeranian who was recently surrendered because his elderly owner could no longer care for him.
He is very active, pleasant, and definitely prefers your lap to his crate. He has never been around other dogs, cats, or children.
The adoption fee is $150. Please call 570-333-5265 if you’re interested in adopting this sweet boy.
Annie and Allie
No, we aren’t conjoined twins but we may as well be!
Our names are Annie and Allie – see if you can tell us apart! We are four-month-old playful and affectionate kittens and are very closely bonded with each other. Sometimes, we talk to each other in little peep voices when we are sharing a secret. We also take turns “bathing” each other.
We would really like to live together, so if you think two kittens are better than one (uh, who wouldn’t?), please contact Blue Chip Farm at 570-333-5265. As with all of the shelter kittens, we are in a foster home, so contact the shelter in advance.
