Our Youth Scene Open Mic with the Breaking Ground Poets at downtown Scranton coffee shop Adezzo on Wednesday, Dec. 2 started off with just a few sign-ups, but it eventually turned into so much more.

Once the performers listed below were finished, it seemed like the night would end early, but slowly and surely, many members of the audience decided to step forward and organically share their own art, making it one of our most fun events yet.

Youth Scene Open Mic performers:

Poetry: Monica Noelle, Jake Reilley, and Maddy Clara Brozusky

Music: The Revolution, Bobby Hunt, and Hunter Bertram

Comedy: Jillian Chiaro, Nick Chiaro, Ray Meoni, and Russell Austin

Storytelling: Mason Crawford

The Youth Scene Open Mic is held the first Wednesday of every month at Adezzo, and a second Youth Scene Open Mic is held the last Sunday of every month at Twigs Cafe in Tunkhannock. Sign-ups for both events are at 6 p.m., and 15 slots are available. Each performer is allotted 5-8 minutes at the mic. All ages are welcome to attend, and while no one who is over 21 will be turned away if they wish to perform, the focus of the night will be on the younger artists. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event will wrap up by 8:30 p.m.
