From a press release:

Multi-platinum-selling Mississippi rock band 3 Doors Down consistently captivates audiences worldwide. The quintet’s many accolades include selling 16 million albums globally, receiving three Grammy nominations, and winning two American Music Awards and five BMI Pop Awards for songwriting, and now they’re coming to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m.

Tickets, which are $49.50 for general admission, $69.50 for reserved seats, and $37 each for a general admission four-pack, go on sale this Friday, March 4 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000.

If rock ‘n’ roll had fairy tales, then the 3 Doors Down story would be one of the most popular. Their story begins in childhood and celebrates friendship, honesty, and making the most of their talents. It’s about faith in your teammates and collaboration, trusting instincts and, once success is achieved, lending a hand to help others.

They made their mark early, selling 6 million copies of their debut album, and rather than allow that moment to define themselves, they have developed as musicians, songwriters, and friends.

No stranger to hit singles, they have had six No. 1 singles – “Kryptonite,” “Duck and Run,” “Loser,” “Be Like That,” “When I’m Gone,” and “Here Without You” – making them one of the most popular and consistently successful rock bands in recent history.

The stories and emotions related in their songs resonate with audiences; their music and lyrics are as approachable as the guys in the band. That open-ended element is one reason their music has been used to promote every major sports league from college basketball to hockey, they have connected with the military in consistent and meaningful ways, and their foundation takes care of children in need.

Their debut “The Better Life” became certified six-times RIAA platinum in 2000 and was fueled by the success of juggernaut hit “Kryptonite.” This was followed by 2002’s sophomore album, “Away from the Sun,” which went triple-platinum and saw similar success with “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You.” 2005’s platinum “Seventeen Days” and 2008’s “3 Doors Down” each earned No. 1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, while “Time of My Life” landed at No. 3 in 2011. In 2003, the group founded the charity The Better Life Foundation.

An exceptional live band, 3 Doors Down stands among the top concert draws in North America, and this return visit to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, in support of their new album, “Us and the Night,” featuring the single “In the Dark,” will surely live up to the reputation they have established.
