Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Wade

Hi! My name is Wade! I am a happy boy with lots of love to give! I am only a year old; they say I’m a hound mix. I get nervous at times, but hey, we all do! I am a pretty talented boy, if I do say so myself – my favorite thing to do is to give paw to everyone! I love to hug and play too!

The volunteers tell me they do not know why I am still here, and I don’t know why either! I’m getting really lonely; I would love to leave. No offense to the volunteers – they’re great – but I just wish I could have a big bed to share with family.

Come and meet me! You won’t regret it!

Tiger

Meet Tiger! He is a 5-year-old striped tabby cat.

Tiger is extremely friendly and loves to be loved. If you’re interested in giving him a furever home, please visit our website to fill out an application or call 570-333-5265.
