Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Diesel

Hello! My name is Diesel; my friends call me Dee. I am really starting to like this place! The volunteers said something about finding a home? Not too sure what that means, but I like what I have heard so far! They said I should find a home with a fence because I love to run! Do you have one of those? Come and meet me if you do!

This sweet boy was tossed from a car like garbage. We owe it to him to find him a good home. He is kind and has been getting along with everyone he meets.

Jet and Jay

In Ireland and Britain, the black cat is seen as an extremely lucky omen and is welcomed as a sign of good luck! These two sweet lucky charms are in search of their furever home.

Jet and Jay are two bonded brothers. They are only 6 months old and very sweet. If you’re looking to double your luck and fun, these are your boys!
