NEPA Cannabis Rally returns to Nay Aug Park in Scranton on April 17 with speakers, music, art, and more

As medical marijuana legislation continues to be debated in Pennsylvania, the NEPA Cannabis Rally is set to return to Nay Aug Park in Scranton on Sunday, April 17 in support of cannabis decriminalization and legalization.

Organized by Big Yield Hydroponics, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Cannabis Network, the Keystone Cannabis Coalition, and other Pennsylvania activists, the annual rally will run from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and will feature guest speakers, live music and entertainment, art, vendors, food trucks, face painting, yoga, hoops, hiking trails, a free speech zone, and more.

Musical acts throughout the day include the Still Hand String Band, George Wesley, Appalachian Gypsy Tribe, Serene Green, Friends of the Family, The Strange Heat, Drive, Jasper Paci, Alex O’Brien, CrimZn, and Randy Leff. Additionally, Jacob Cole of Rogue Chimp and Jami Novak of Cabinet will hold a drum circle.

Speakers include Green Party candidates Cheri Honkala, Carl J. Romanelli, and Kurt Shotko, Rob Robinson of the New York Harvest Festival and New York Cannabis Alliance, Les Stark and Erica Lynn of the Keystone Cannabis Coalition, Steve Auerbach of Keystone Cannabis Law, anti-fracking and hemp activist Vera Scroggins, Jesse Nova of the NEPA Cannabis Network, Christy Billett of Pennsylvania Safe Access, Anne Armstrong and Alan Gordon of the Healing Church, Gabriel Chorno, Timothy Phelan, Jay Sweeney, and Jeff Zick.

There is also a “Great Keystoner Clean-Up” planned for Sunday, April 10 starting at noon to pick up trash around Nay Aug Park (500 Arthur Ave., Scranton) before the rally. See the Facebook event page for details.
