Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Diogi

My name is Diogi, pronounced D.O.G. Get it? Yeah, that’s what I said… real creative, humans! And who’s the smartest species?!

Anyway, I’m almost 2 years old and they call me a Black Mouth Cur. I like other dogs and even kids, though I’m not sure of cats yet. When you come to the farm, ask to see Diogi – I’m the handsome boy in the back!

Diogi is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and is such a sweetheart. He does need training with basic manners, but he loves his toys and will do anything for attention.

Donald

Hello! My name is Donald. I’m 2 years old, and I’m a laid-back kind of guy!

I’m extremely friendly and love attention. I also love lying in the cat tree, and everyone tells me I’m such a handsome guy, but I already knew that!

If you would like to adopt me, please visit our website to fill out an application or call 570-333-5265!
