Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Fritz

Fritz is a 9-year-old German shorthaired pointer who is neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He is a friendly, social dog and has lived in a family environment.

He is good with other dogs and will stay by your side, as he has some separation anxiety issues after being with one family for eight years. With a little patience, though, he’ll get acclimated and be well worth your time.

Cypress

Cypress is an 8-week-old kitten who is up-to-date on her shots and testing. She is very social but still likes to have her cuddle time. She is a sweetheart who loves to snuggle and play.

Please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
