PA Oktoberfest brings beer, food, and wiener dogs to Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre Sept. 16-18

Pennsylvania’s largest Oktoberfest returns for another weekend full of beer, food, music, wiener dog racing, and more at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre next week. The PA Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday, Sept. 16 from 4:30 p.m.-11 p.m. and continues on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The 21+ event will be held on the race track apron at Mohegan Sun Pocono. Admission is $5 and advance tickets are on sale now at the Mohegan Sun Pocono box office (1280 Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre) and any Shur Save location with buy one, get one free admission.
One of the top 10 Oktoberfest celebrations in the nation, the widely popular PA Oktoberfest comes back to Mohegan Sun Pocono with more than 50 beer selections, award-winning traditional entertainers, local bands, authentic German-American cuisine, wiener dog racing, strong arm contests, and more. This year’s festival features new activities and entertainment, making it the best celebration yet. Live entertainment will include John Stevens’ Double Polka and a crowd favorite, Romy, from Munich, Germany. Known for playing the traditional Alphorn, the Alpine Horns will also be performing at this year’s festival.
Other highlights this year include special keg tapping ceremonies on Friday at 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. Then on Sunday, the second annual Lederhosen 5k will begin at noon. Guests can register for this event in advance or at the event, starting at 11 a.m. through 11:45 a.m. The Lederhosen 5k will take participants around the Pocono race track and through the surrounding trails. The $10 registration fee includes race entry, all-day admission to PA Oktoberfest, and a Lederhosen 5k t-shirt (for the first 150 entries.)
With admission, each guest will receive one $10 Free Slot Play voucher at the event that is valid for redemption Monday, Sept. 19 through Tuesday, Oct. 18; only one voucher may be used per momentum account.
