From a press release:

Network on Friday, business on Monday.

Boss Ladies of NEPA is a group of motivated female entrepreneurs working quarterly to connect women in a casual atmosphere. They will be hosting a costume party mixer at The Leonard in downtown Scranton on Friday, Oct. 14 from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. that will spotlight three female-owned businesses: Lindsay Barrasse, local filmmaker, director, and producer; Allie Duffney of The Bhakti Collective that makes handmade fiber arts; and Desiree Huffsmith, a Tastefully Simple representative.

Food, beverages, and entertainment at The Leonard (355 Adams Ave., Scranton) will be provided by Mendicino’s Italian Specialties, Street Sweets, Backyard Ale House, and local female DJ Desiree Huffsmith. Additionally, basket raffles from spotlighted businesses will be available.

A $10 donation is suggested, but any amount is appreciated. The funds raised by donations help offset any event and promotions costs.

Each event that Boss Ladies of NEPA hosts spotlights three female-owned businesses at different venues throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The spotlights are chosen completely at random from the submissions they receive through online applications.
