From a press release:

ARK Helps, a nonprofit organization owned and organized by a 14-year-old girl from Scranton, has scheduled another benefit concert to help a local family. “ARK-Fest” will be held at The Leonard Theater in downtown Scranton on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017.

The event is all-ages and 21+ to drink. Doors at The Leonard (335 Adams Ave., Scranton) open at 1 p.m., with live entertainment, an interactive DJ, vendors, basket raffles, food, and beverages scheduled from 2 p.m.-8 p.m.

Tickets, which are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, are on sale now and can be purchased via arkhelps.org or by calling 717-805-6635.

Founded in 2016, ARK Helps hosts events like ARK-Fest to offer a helping hand to individuals and businesses that have experienced an unfortunate occurrence, raising money for local children with cancer and supporting families engulfed in medical bills.

The featured entertainer at ARK-Fest will be young singer Elizabeth Scarborough, who will bringing her Taylor Swift Tribute show from South Carolina. Local bands The JOB (The Jay Orrell Band), The Chatter, and Dashboard Mary will also be playing throughout the day, hosted by The Ringmaster.

“We plan to make this event as big as we can,” Angel Kropiewnicki, ARK Helps founder and president, said.

Elizabeth Scarborough was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. Her musical training began in choirs at church and school. At age 15, her brother taught her to play Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” on the guitar. Playing guitar and singing instantly fascinated her, and in Taylor Swift, she found a musical role model and inspiration for her style, as she bears a striking resemblance to the pop star.

Scarborough first performed as Swift at an elementary school. This quickly led to performances at birthday parties, charitable events, and other social occasions. More recently, she has received main stage billing in national festivals. Her success led her to pursue being a Taylor Swift tribute artist more seriously and being featured in the Los Angeles Times, People, USA Today, and Las Vegas Weekly.

Having been an avid Taylor Swift fan since 2006, Scarborough has learned her entire catalog and matches the charisma and personality of her idol on stage at shows like the Legends in Concert tribute in Las Vegas and other cities throughout the United States.
