Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

George

George is a 6-year-old pit bull terrier who is neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He was regretfully surrendered by his owner as an alternative to being put down.

George is a very loving pooch who is wonderful with all people, but he prefers to be the only animal in the home. He loves to play in the park, catch his ball, go for walks and car rides, and he is the best snuggler! He is the perfect companion.

George has so much love to give. When you walk past his kennel, he barks until you stop and say hello. Then he wiggles his little wiggle butt and paws at the door until you pet him. As soon as you start to pet him, he gives an unimaginable amount of kisses. When you take him out of his kennel, he is so grateful and all he wants to do is give you hugs. He is a phenomenal dog and so deserving of a warm home.

Franny

Franny is a beautiful 8-month-old torti who is spayed and up-to-date on her shots and feline testing.

She is a little shy, but very friendly and sweet. She likes to play with toys that make noise and loves to cuddle up in your lap.

If you’re interested in adopting Franny, visit bcfanimalrefuge.org to fill out an application.
