LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia has announced the grand opening of the new attraction will be on Thursday, April 6 after a morning of festivities at the Plymouth Meeting Mall. Mayor of Philadelphia Jim Kenney was present for the announcement on Thursday to reveal the first Philadelphia landmark – Liberty Place – to be completed for MINILAND Philadelphia, an interactive display of the city of Philadelphia in the Discovery Center that will be made of nearly 1.5 million LEGO bricks.

Single Day Admission Passes are available for purchase online at special rates starting at $19 per person. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $24 per person. Annual Passes and and Birthday Party Packages are also available for purchase through the Discovery Center’s website. Annual Pass holders receive unlimited access to the attraction for 12 months and benefits including café, LEGO Shop, and birthday party discounts. By purchasing an Annual Pass before March 31, families are granted “First to Play” access with an invitation to the center’s “First to Play” Preview Weekend. The Discovery Center’s “First to Play” Preview Weekend will be on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2. Annual passes will be on sale for $59 per person after March 31.

“We cannot wait to welcome families from across the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond to experience the ultimate indoor LEGO playground,” said Michael Taylor, general manager of LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia. “The Discovery Center will provide two to three hours of repeatable LEGO play experiences that power creativity and learning through shared LEGO fun for the entire family.”

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia at Plymouth Meeting Mall is ideal for families with children aged three to 10 years who enjoy the fun and creativity of LEGO. The 33,000-square-foot Discovery Center will feature an interactive LEGO-themed ride, a 4D Cinema, and thousands of LEGO bricks in themed building areas, making it the ultimate indoor LEGO playground.
