The Tunefly Artist of the Week is Bjorn & Francois. This Winston-Salem, North Carolina duo recently stopped by the Tunefly Studio in Kingston to record their latest track with Jordan Ramirez of Going Up? Records.

Featuring a blend of classical piano, smooth guitar, and rich vocals, you can check out our exclusive video of “Oh, My” below:

Taking cues from The Temptations, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sergei Rachmaninov, and other varied musicians, Bjorn & Francois create a mesmerizing sound with layers of musical history and modern nuances. The two met at a dive bar in Winston-Salem. After Bjorn Jacobsen moved to North Carolina from New Orleans and Francois Byers settled in the Old North State after working odd jobs out west, the two landed a gig at the same bar. A mutual friend softly demanded a duet, and the rest was history.

An album slated for release in April 2017 will focus on the rebirth of the duo.

“The title ‘Ain’t the Last Show’ is reflective of the night that Bjorn and I met. Bjorn was planning on cremating his guitar, and I was planning on bailing from my hometown to move to Taiwan,” Byers said.

Keep an eye out for more from Bjorn & Francois; they’ll be back to release their album.

“We will be doing a few album release runs from Louisiana and Florida to Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, to name a few states.”
