Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Pence

Pence is an 8-month-old Great Dane mix.

He is wonderful with all people and other dogs despite his previous family moving and leaving him in a rental unit all alone. He deserves a better life.

This big boy is a clumsy pup, always making the volunteers laugh. He is absolutely great and would be a phenomenal family dog.

Here’s a fun video of Pence and Blue Chip alumni Brody playing and carrying on a conversation. Do you ever wonder what dogs say to each other?

Freddie

Freddie is 8 years old, neutered, and up-to-date on his shots and feline testing. His front paws are declawed.

Freddie is sweet, easygoing, and laid-back. He is a lap cat who loves to snuggle up and watch a good movie.

If you would like to adopt this handsome fellow, visit bcfanimalrefuge.org to fill out an application.
