From a press release:

The Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area will host a series of group rides on the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in Scranton this season to promote the joy of bicycling in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Group rides will be held on Wednesdays, June 14 and June 21, weather permitting. Riders should meet at the 7th Avenue trailhead in Scranton at 6 p.m.

Led by LHV volunteer Ken Leibold, the group will ride along the CNJ extension of the trail to Taylor and back, and then travel up to Olive Street and loop back to 7th Avenue. The ride is expected to last about an hour. There is no fee to participate, but riders should bring their own bicycles. Riders of all skill levels are welcome.

Ken Leibold is a volunteer with 15 years of bicycling experience in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. He is an experienced bicycle mechanic and has rebuilt bikes into custom bikes. Leibold has owned up to 30 bikes, including road, mountain, recumbent, tandem bikes, and trikes. In his spare time, he enjoys leading group rides on the trail.
