Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Martin

Martin is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who is a little shy at first. When he arrived at Blue Chip, he was so nervous that no one could come near him. Now, he runs to the door as soon as someone comes by!

Martin likes to thoroughly investigate the scene before he wraps you in tail-wagging silliness. He takes to people very quickly and loves being doted upon by humans. He also really likes other dogs.

This love bug would do well in home with a fenced-in yard for lots of playtime… and a comfortable lap for napping.

Zoey

Zoey is a 9-week-old tabby kitten with stripes and white paws who is ready for a home to call her own.

Not only is she adorable, but she is affectionate, playful, fun-loving, and curious!

If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
