SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Hercules (bulldog mix) and Remi (dilute calico kitten)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.
Hercules is a 1-year-old bulldog mix.
This handsome guy was originally a stray. His finders kept him for a few days until we were able to take him in.
Herc needs a home with older children and would do best as the only pet due to being dog selective. He seems to do better with dogs his size and is dominate towards other pups.
He is very loving and always ready to go for walks or car rides. He has an amazing personality and talks to you when he wants your attention.
Come and meet this sweet guy!
Remi is a stunning 10-week-old dilute calico who is up-to-date on her vaccinations.
She is very regal and proper but still loves to play like all kittens. Remi enjoys playing with her toys and jumping on your back.
She is loving, social, and would love a home of her own.
If you’re interested in adopting this little doll, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
