From a press release:

It was announced today that stand-up comedian and actor Dane Cook will perform at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m.

Tickets, which are $59.50, $79.50, and $99.50, plus applicable fees, go on sale this Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000. A pre-sale for members of the venue’s Music Insiders Club will take place on Thursday, June 7 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Known for his use of observational, often vulgar, and sometimes dark comedy, Dane Cook started performing in comedy clubs in 1990 and released his first album, “Harmful If Swallowed,” in 2003.

His 2005 follow-up, “Retaliation,” became the highest charting comedy album in 28 years and went double platinum. He performed an HBO special in the fall of 2006, “Vicious Circle,” a straight-to-DVD special titled “Rough Around the Edges” (which is included in the album of the same name), and a 2009 Comedy Central special, “Isolated Incident.” He released a greatest hits album, “I Did My Best,” in 2010.

Cook returned to the stage with his directorial debut, “Troublemaker,” on Showtime in 2014. Filmed in front of a raucous audience, Cook’s acerbic wit and patented brand of provocative, on-fire comedic insight skewers the hilarious aspects of everyday life and human behavior. This comedy event shows off Cook’s ability to not only perform in-depth comedy routines, but film them in a style that speaks to a new generation of comedy fans everywhere.

In “Troublemaker,” Cook dismantles the modern-day relationship, holds a mirror up to society, and generally torches observational humor to the bone. He shares his beliefs and perspectives with his fans and does not hold back. Delving into a wide range of topics from tech relationships to blowing the lid off of gender secrets to our hidden Internet lives and how we mask our depression, joy, and temptations, no topic is off limits.

Dane Cook has maintained his reputation as one of today’s most prolific stand-up comedians, selling out Madison Square Garden multiple times over while simultaneously distinguishing himself as a charismatic and versatile actor in a variety of film and television projects and created, directed, and starred in the nine-part comedy documentary series “Tourgasm.”

His other film and TV credits include roles in “Mystery Men,” “Waiting,” “Employee of the Month,” “Good Luck Chuck,” “Dan in Real Life,” “Mr. Brooks,” “My Best Friend’s Girl,” and as the voice of Dusty in Disney’s animated films “Planes” and “Planes: Fire & Rescue.”
