SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Princess (Rottweiler mix) and Boo (black cat)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Princess is a small 8-year-old Rottweiler mix, and she is so sad here at the shelter.
Her family found themselves homeless and couldn’t care for her. Princess is very scared and confused, though she warms up to people over time. She is slowly coming out of her shell, but she would benefit more from being in a home.
She would do best in a home with no small children. She’s looking for a quiet place to lay her head and a family that will give her the time she needs to trust again. She is good with most other dogs.

Boo is a playful, funny 1-year-old cat who is always interested in what’s going on.
He is friendly, social and, most of all, loving. Boo is sweet and full of personality. He is fun-loving and enjoys the company of other cats.
This handsome young man is neutered and up-to-date on his shots and testing – now he just needs a home!
