Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Storm

Storm is a handsome 3-year-old collie mix. Rescuers found him wandering and tried returning him to his family, but they no longer wanted him. We’re not sure why because he is such a good dog.

He is friendly and easygoing. Storm is a good walker on the leash and likes to meet every new person he sees. He is a total love bug who gets along with other dogs and loves being around people. He enjoys going for walks or just hanging out on the couch.

Storm is energetic and housebroken. He would definitely need regular brushing with all his gorgeous long hair.

This sweet boy deserves a forever home. Is that your home?

Gia and Gemma

Gia and Gemma are so adorable! This bonded duo is almost a year old, spayed, and up-to-date on their vaccinations. They must be adopted together.

They are shy, so it takes them a bit to warm up to you, but they are sweet and affectionate. These two beauties like other cats but not dogs. Gia and Gemma would do best in a quiet home.

If you’re interested in adopting these best friends, please note that they are staying in a foster home, not at the shelter, so fill out an adoption application at bcfanimalrefuge.org and call 570-333-5265 to arrange a meet and greet.
