From a press release:

There will be an extra family member on hand when Willie Nelson & Family visit the F.M. Kirby Center (71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre).

It was announced today that Lukas Nelson, Willie’s son, and his band Promise of the Real have been added to the concert, which comes to Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Less than 200 tickets remain available for the concert, so fans are urged to secure their seats today. Tickets can be purchased at the Kirby Center box office, by phone at 570-826-1100, or online at kirbycenter.org. Tickets are $47, $57, and $67 (Gold Circle), plus fees.

Lukas first picked up the guitar at age 11 to honor a promise he made to his father and managed to teach himself the craft by playing along to classic Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix songs.

Now at age 24, Lukas is building his following the old fashioned way – by touring year-round and delivering high-energy performances to fans across the country. He and his band mates have performed more than 400 shows in the past three years and have played with the likes of Neil Young, John Fogerty, Bob Weir, B.B. King, and Bob Dylan.

While the younger Nelson will be making his Kirby Center debut, his father will be returning for the seventh time. Willie Nelson first visited the Kirby Center in 1998; his most recent performance came in 2012.
