From a press release:

Sucker and the Russello Project will be hosting a Halloween costume contest during their Saturday, Oct. 25 performance at the V-Spot. The winner will be awarded a pair of tickets to the Queensrÿche (with vocalist Todd La Torre) concert at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre on Halloween, Oct. 31.

Admission to the V-Spot (906 Providence Rd., Scranton) is $5, and the show starts at 9:30 p.m. Anyone who arrives in a costume is eligible to participate in the contest. The prize will be awarded during the Rusello Project’s performance.

The MESS, described by guitarist and vocalist Jay Luke as “progressive metal with a punk rock edge,” will open the night.

Sucker, fronted by bassist Candi Vee (pictured above), will be doling out their set of “sexy, wild rock ‘n’ roll” and sweets for the audience (lollipops, a staple of a live Sucker performance) before the Russello Project hits the stage.

Named for founder Charlie Russello, the Russello Project is an instrumental rock trio that will close out the night.

Russello, Vee, their mutual tribute band The Idol Kings, and the Russello Project have all been nominated for Steamtown Music Awards. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 10 and will also be held at the V-Spot. Sucker was one of four local bands to perform at the Rock 107 Birthday Bash this year featuring Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and the only supporting act that played original music that night.
