The Olde Brick Theatre in Scranton hosted a night of improvisational music and poetry on Sunday, Sept. 21 as part of the weekly Synaesthesia Social series.
Performers that night included musicians Chelsea Smarr, Benya Barshai, and Jeff Brozena and poets Brian Fanelli and Scott Thomas.
Created by illustrator and educator Ted Michalowski, Synaesthesia Social “combines live music, drawing, poetry, and theatre: the performers are the subject as well as the entertainment,” according to a press release.
“Every week presents a different ensemble of progressive and experimental musicians in a venue allowing them to perform uncompromised to an all-ages crowd.”
