Scranton’s “alternative rock band with a twist of heavy metal,” Graces Downfall, recently released an official music video for “Letter to Lainey,” a hard-hitting tribute to vocalist Kenneth Norton’s daughter.

The track comes from the band’s latest album, “Change. Adjust. Continue.,” which was given 5 out of 5 keystones by NEPA Scene music reviewer Mark Uricheck. He described “Letter to Lainey” as “a muscular, jaggedly cut guitar funk surrounded by a hauntingly serious vocal inflection, gently twisting between wispy and deadly provocative.”

Norton told NEPA Scene in an interview last week that while Graces Downfall plays both originals and covers, his new Pearl Jam tribute band, Leash, which features other members of Graces, will take on the covers while Graces focuses more on promoting their original music.

Graces Downfall will be performing next on New Year’s Eve at Bar Louie at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs (1280 Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre), starting at 9:30 p.m.
