Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre announces 5 new additions to the ‘Chandelier Lobby’ concert series

The F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts has announced five new “Live from the Chandelier Lobby” concerts and a special Chandelier Concert Deal – six concerts for $99, saving music fans $21 off the regular price.

The previously announced Justin Townes Earle concert, with opener Gill Landry, is up first on March 3 at 7:30 p.m., followed by:

Paul Thorn – April 17, 8 p.m.

Roots-rock songwriter and performer Paul Thorn is scheduled for Friday, April 17. The former prizefighter and literal son of a preacher man’s new album “Too Blessed to Be Stressed” is covering universal truths and working to make people feel good.

Craig Thatcher Band: Tribute to the music of Jimi Hendrix – May 16, 8 p.m.

Back by popular demand, the Craig Thatcher Band is scheduled to return Saturday, May 16 to perform their tribute to the music of Jimi Hendrix.

The THE BAND Band – June 13, 8 p.m.

The THE BAND Band will be performing Saturday, June 13. Sharing a love for the music of The Band, Jack Kraft, Gary Solomon, Vinny Nicosia, Mike Corbin, and Josh Radin formed this tribute band for the sheer enjoyment of playing their songs.

Girls, Guns and Glory: A Tribute to Hank Williams – July 18, 8 p.m.

July brings Boston’s rising stars Girls, Guns and Glory to the Kirby Center on Saturday, July 18 to perform their tribute to Hank Williams – a dazzling performance featuring the timeless country classics of Williams, plus a few obscurities that GGG has picked up in their quest to absorb as much as they can from the master of heartache. Girls, Guns and Glory’s brand new album “A Tribute to Hank Williams – Live!” will be available on Feb. 24.

Matt Andersen – August 14, 8 p.m.

Bluesman Matt Andersen is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 14. Andersen is a powerhouse performer with a giant soul-filled voice and commanding stage presence. It’s hard to imagine any fan of Matt Andersen – old or new – leaving unsatisfied.

Individual tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m., but Kirby Members can pre-purchase their seats beginning Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased in person, at the box office, or by calling 570-826-1100. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show, plus fees. The Chandelier Concert Deal is all six concerts for $99 through the F.M. Kirby Center Box Office.

“Live from the Chandelier Lobby” features general admission, with an estimated capacity of just 300 patrons. Additional artists for will be announced in the near future.
