Roving mountain soul singer Kaleigh Baker is getting some peculiar help for her Kickstarter campaign to fund her new album.

Peculiar Culinary Company owner Gene Philbin is not only an award-winning chef who has been featured on shows like Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games,” but he’s also a music fan, organizing events like the Peculiar Music Festival, so Peculiar Culinary is throwing a concert at the newly opened Peculiar Catering & Event Center (30 Center St., Hughestown) on Saturday, April 4 at 7 p.m. to help Baker meet her fundraising goal.

She will perform with Wilkes-Barre classic soul and R&B group Soul Shadows, unique food will be provided by Peculiar, and there will be a beer tasting with Three Guys and a Beer’d as well, all for $25.

Baker will play in the area next at The Other Side in Wilkes-Barre with Black Horse Motel and Katie Kelly and the Charming Beards on Saturday, April 18.
