Scranton guitar-based instrumental rock group The Russello Project just released a live video of their original song “54” from Lyrics Bar, Cafe & Music Venue in Carbondale that shows off exactly why frontman Charlie Russello was named Guitarist of the Year at the 2014 Steamtown Music Awards.

The video of the jazzy progressive rock trio – Russello, drummer John Carpenetti, and bassist/synth player Mike Bosi – was shot and edited by Ken and Carol Jones of Ken Jones Imagery, with assistance from Kevin Vogrin, Kyle Rebar, Maeve S. Walsh, and Alex Freeman and sound engineering by Russello.

The Russello Project will join Fireball tonight, March 27 at The V-Spot in Scranton for a night of jamming billed simply as “Guitar Gods,” as Fireball guitarist Butch Frable is also well-known in the area for his impressive guitar work. The shows starts at 9 p.m. For more details, visit the Facebook event page.
