As Chinese philosopher and poet Lao-Tzu once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Adam Bailey took his on Friday, Aug. 21 with the release of his appropriately titled debut EP, “Step One,” at Ole Tyme Charley’s Restaurant & Pub in Plains.
The 23-year-old Scranton singer/songwriter is striving towards a career in music, and he was in good company who are all on similar missions of their own. Fellow singer/songwriter Katie Evans and bassist Grant Williams with drummer Chris Langan of LondonForce opened the evening and later joined him onstage for various original and cover songs, along with Behind the Grey drummer Mike Boniewicz and singer/songwriter Jenn Johnson. It’s clear that he has a lot of support from the local music community, becoming a finalist in Season 1 of NEPA Scene’s Got Talent just a few months before. He later credited NEPA Scene with introducing him to everyone he performed with that night – we’re just happy to see him succeed and wish him luck in his future endeavors.
The concert was presented by Glory Torch Productions. Bailey’s six-song EP is for sale now at his shows and online at CD Baby.
