From a press release:

Crunch, the renowned gym chain best known for making serious fitness fun through innovative group fitness programming and cutting-edge training offerings, will continue to spread its “no judgments” philosophy into Lackawanna County when it becomes the newest addition to The Mall at Steamtown.

Located at 300 Lackawanna Avenue in downtown Scranton, the gym will occupy 30,000 square feet of the mall inside the enclosed bridge structure above Lackawanna Avenue, providing views out into the city for an open feel. Crunch Scranton is anticipated to open for workouts by March 1, 2016 and will begin pre-selling memberships in December.

The health club will boast state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, full-service locker rooms, tanning, and HydroMassage. There will be a designated group fitness studio where members can enjoy Crunch’s group fitness classes, including BodyWeb with TRX, Zumba, Cardio Tai Box, Yoga Body Sculpt, BOSU Bootcamp, Fat Burning Pilates, and more.

Members will have access to Crunch’s Camp Crunch program, which includes signature small group training, personal training, and nutrition programs for all fitness levels. Expert personal trainers will work one-on-one with members to deliver personalized fitness and nutrition plans, helping them to meet their fitness goals.

Behind Crunch Scranton is Scranton Health Club, LLC, owned by Crunch franchisee Greg Fuchs. Fuchs and his team have over 60 years of experience in the fitness industry, and Crunch Scranton will be his fifth Crunch Franchise location in the northeast.

“We are thrilled to bring Crunch to the Scranton community and serve its growing population by introducing a health club with top-notch amenities and services for an unbeatable value. The Mall at Steamtown is the perfect location for Crunch, and we are thrilled to be partnering with John Basalyga and his team, who will be revitalizing the mall and the downtown area to create a unique experience for the community and our future members,” Fuchs said.
