Possibly the best-named band to come through the area in years, Ringo Deathstarr stopped at The Other Side in Wilkes-Barre with The Kickback from Chicago for a night of alternative indie rock on Oct. 21.
Playing at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia the night before, the bands performed Wednesday evening with Scranton’s own Science Queen. Hailing from Austin, Texas, it was Deathstarr’s first time in the Diamond City, but it seems NEPA met with their approval.
Ok we R here in Wilkes Barre about 2 get it on with @sciencequeenpa & @thekickback but we have never been here before the other side is cool

The intimate crowd gathered to see them thought they were pretty cool, too. The trio’s new album, “Pure Mood,” will be released on Nov. 18.
