Comedian, ‘Community’ star, and ‘The Soup’ host Joel McHale performs at Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Feb. 5

Comedian, actor, writer, television producer, and television host Joel McHale, best known for hosting “The Soup” and portraying Jeff Winger on the NBC/Yahoo! comedy series “Community,” will perform stand-up at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at 8 p.m.

Starting out, McHale landed small TV roles in “Diagnosis: Murder,” “CSI: Miami,” “Pushing Daisies,” and “Will & Grace,” but his career took off in 2004 when he began hosting “The Soup,” a satirical weekly television show on the E! television network. Throughout the show, he takes the audience through the oddities and ridiculous happenings of the week in television. McHale can be seen hosting the show until Dec. 18, its final episode.
During this time, he frequently appeared as a co-host on “Loveline” with Dr. Drew, a weekly guest on “The Adam Carolla Show,” and an occasional guest on the “Opie and Anthony” show. He has even been a judge on “Iron Chef America.”
McHale starred in the sitcom “Community,” which premiered in 2009 and ran until this year, and had a short guest stint on the FX show “Sons of Anarchy.”
He has appeared in such films as “Lords of Dogtown,” “Spider-Man 2,” “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World,” “Ted,” “What’s Your Number?,” “Deliver Us from Evil,” and “Blended.”
McHale hosted the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards, was the featured entertainer at the 2014 White House Correspondents’ Association annual dinner, and hosted the 2015 ESPY Awards.
