Electric City Music Conference and Steamtown Music Awards return to Scranton Sept. 15-17

The Electric City Music Conference will return to Scranton this fall for the third annual installment of the event, taking place Thursday, Sept. 15 through Saturday, Sept. 17.

The event will again feature a multi-venue music festival, conferences, and panels with music industry professionals, along with the Steamtown Music Awards.

Applications to play the 2016 Electric City Music Conference are now open. Local bands from Northeastern Pennsylvania can apply at electriccitymusicconference.com, while regional and national bands can apply via Sonicbids.

The event has confirmed Graces Downfall; Death Grip; Dreamers, Like Us; Drew Breeze; DJ Hersh; Skip Monday; The ClamStompers; Bottle Rocket; and Kenton as the initial acts that will be part of 100+ band lineup.

Over 30 industry professionals will partake in the conference aspect of the event. The initial announcement includes Suzanne Paulinski of Nashville’s The Rock/Star Advocate, Greg Shaffer of Glory Torch Productions, and Rich Howells of NEPA Scene.

Nominations for the Steamtown Music Awards will open next month.
