From a press release:

It was announced today that the F.M. Kirby Center will welcome Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo for a very intimate acoustic evening in Wilkes-Barre on Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m.

Tickets, which are $45, $59, and $69, plus fees, go on sale this Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. and will be available through the Kirby Center box office (71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre), online at kirbycenter.org, and by phone at 570-826-1100. There will be a special Kirby Member pre-sale beginning Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.

A four-time Grammy winner, Benatar is a classically trained mezzo-soprano. During the 1980s, she had two RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums, five platinum albums, three gold albums, and 19 Top 40 singles, including the Top 10 hits “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Love Is a Battlefield,” “We Belong,” and “Invincible.”

Other hits include “Heartbreaker,” “Shadows of the Night,” “We Live for Love,” “Treat Me Right,” and so many more.

Benatar is widely considered the leading female rock vocalist of the 1980s – a feat marked by her unprecedented winning of four consecutive Grammy Awards between 1980 and 1983, as well as three American Music Awards – but Benatar and husband Giraldo remain a rock and roll powerhouse today, selling out concerts and still wowing audiences.

Always a rule-breaker, “heartbreaker,” and trailblazer, Benatar remains a bold and distinctive artist both on stage and on record. Now, after more than three decades in rock and roll, she’s a bona fide living legend.
