In 2010, Chris Ventura put out his first Parade Day t-shirt. While selling the shirt at Joe Caviston’s former venue, Eleanor Rigby’s in Jermyn, the shirt caught the eye of Caviston. From there, the two struck up a collaboration and have put out a t-shirt annually for the past seven years.

This year, the duo has decided to provide 50 percent of the profits to the Electric City Music Conference, which returns for its third annual installment on Thursday, Sept. 15 and runs through Saturday, Sept. 17. The event will again feature a multi-venue music festival, conferences, and panels with music industry professionals, along with the Steamtown Music Awards.

The shirts can be ordered for $15 on paradedaymerch.com and will be delivered the week before Scranton’s parade.

Scranton’s St. Patrick’s Parade, the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the country, is set for Saturday, March 12 this year. Wilkes-Barre’s parade will be held on Sunday, March 13, while Pittston’s precedes both parades on Saturday, March 5.
