Since forming in 2001 out of Jacksonville, Florida, Shinedown has been the source of a streamline of hits, making several treks to tour across the globe, as well as numerous guest appearances on television shows like “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC, “The Early Show” on CBS, and “Conan” on TBS. Though ready to rock with its sister rock bands, Shinedown is no stranger to Carnival of Madness, having co-headlined the event for four of its five previous runs throughout the country.

Brent Smith, Shinedown’s lead vocalist, said, “I’ve always envisioned the Carnival of Madness as more than just a music festival. It is a celebration of rock music where the lines between those on stage and those in the audience are blurred. Where everyone is sharing in this amazing moment, truly experiencing the power of rock music together. This year, we’ve gathered artists from across the rock spectrum to bring the most dynamic Carnival of Madness to date. Come join us.”

Shinedown’s latest single, “State of My Head,” has been yet another milestone for the American rock band, topping charts and reaching the No. 1 spot at Mainstream Rock Outlets nationwide. This single has become the band’s 10th single to top the chart. The album itself, titled, “Threat to Survival” (2015), is Shinedown’s fifth studio album and first new release in three years. “Threat to Survival” has scaled the Billboard 200, arriving at the No. 5 spot overall while debuting the top of Billboard’s “Rock Albums” and “Top Hard Rock Albums” lists.

“State of My Head” is accompanied in Shinedown’s extensive list of well-known hits by the band’s hit singles “Devour,” “The Crow & the Butterfly,” “Enemies,” “Fly From the Inside,” “Second Chance,” “The Sound of Madness,” and “If You Only Knew.” Other Shinedown albums include platinum album “Leave a Whisper” (2003), gold album “Us and Them” (2005), “The Sound of Madness” (2008), and “Amaryllis” (2012).

Aside from scaling the charts, Shinedown has also been nominated for several music awards over the last decade, such as “Modern Rock Artist of the Year” and “Rock Artist of the Year” at the Billboard Music Awards in 2006, “Favorite Alternative Artist” at the American Music Awards in 2009, and “Rock Song of the Year” for the band’s hit “Cut the Cord” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in 2016.

Halestorm, an American rock band from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Lizzy Hale; her brother, percussionist Arejay Hale; guitarist Joe Hottinger; and bassist Josh Smith. Together, the band members have produced several albums, including “Breaking the Silence” (2001), “Halestorm” (2009), “Live in Philly 2010” (2010), “The Strange Case Of…” (2012), “Reanimate: The Covers Collection 2011-2014” (2014), and “Into the Wild Life” (2015). Some of the band’s hit singles include “Mayhem,” “Mz. Hyde,” “Here’s to Us,” “Amen,” “Freak Like Me,” and “Love Bites (So Do I).”

Whiskey Myers, a Southern rock/red dirt/country group from Palestine, Texas, delivers what they call “everyday soul” music through stories of celebration, mourning, trials, and triumph. Whiskey Myers has released three albums: “Road of Life” (2008), “Firewater” (2011), and “Early Morning Shakes” (2014), with hits including “Ballad of a Southern Man,” “Gone Away,” and “Dogwood.”

More additions to the Carnival of Madness Tour 2016 date at Mohegan Sun Arena will be announced at a later date.
