From a press release:

Classic Albums Live takes on the iconic David Bowie, performing “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” – note for note, cut for cut, live on stage. Using the world’s best musicians, fans will be treated to an exact replication of the album, followed by a second set of Bowie’s greatest hits.

This truly amazing take on the late, great Bowie’s masterpiece and selections from his incredible catalog is coming to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Friday, June 3 at 8 p.m.

Tickets, which range from $19.50-$35, go on sale this Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office (77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem), ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000.

Classic Albums Live brings together some of the country’s finest musicians to recreate live on stage the exact sounds of the greatest albums of the ’60s and ’70s. Musicians are chosen according to their sound and their fit into a particular niche, be it Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones. The album might require a sitar player, a children’s choir, a string quartet, or someone to ring the alarm clock. Whatever it takes, the musicians treat these revered albums like a score, the way a symphony orchestra treats Mozart.

Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live has become the ultimate destination for music lovers wanting to hear the greatest albums performed live without all the gimmickry and cheesy impersonations. Relying only on the music, using what Martin refers to as “the world’s best musicians,” Classic Albums Live has defined itself as a mainstay in performing arts centers across North America.
