Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food, and most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Boo-Boo

Say cheese!

This is Boo-Boo, and no, he is not growling in those first two pictures! This is what he does when you tell him to “Say cheese!” He curls his lips back into a nice white smile!

Boo-Boo is a 5-year-old Brittany spaniel mix. Happy and alert, Boo-Boo is a very active and enthusiastic pup.

Boo-Boo needs a home that will be patient and work with him to adjust to a new living environment. He needs to be the only pet in the home.

If interested in this smiling spaniel, please fill out an application and come for a visit!

Sammy and Suzie

Sammy and Suzie are a bonded pair. They are 5 months old and up-to-date on shots.

Friendly and playful, these two are social with humans, though we’re not sure about dogs. They seem to do fine with other “cat friendly” cats and must be adopted together.
