Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Zara

Do you like my ears? I work hard to keep them looking this good! My name is Zara and I’m a playful puppy dog. I’m only 6 months old, and they say I’m a boxer mix.

Wait a minute… a boxer? I never hit a person in my short little life! I love everybody!

So come see me and don’t listen to what they say – I won’t hit ya!

Bentley

Bentley is a 1-and-a-half-year-old purebred Tonkinese. He is up to date on his shots and has dietary restrictions due to a sensitive stomach. He needs someone to not only love him, but also someone who is familiar with the breed.

Bentley is very good with people and does warm up to other cats.
