Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

George

George is a 5-year-old Great Dane. He is a very good dog who needs a patient owner to help him to work out his separation anxiety.

George is loving and mindful of his person. He would do well in a home where he is the only dog.

Sadie

Sadie is a 4-month-old black and white tuxedo kitten who is up-to-date on her shots and feline testing.

She loves to play and explore, but she always has time for a cuddle. She is silly and good with other cats.

If you would like to adopt this cute little girl, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
