Par Glass House in Shickshinny throws Halloween Extravaganza with variety of bands on Oct. 21
From a press release:
The Par Glass House in Shickshinny, home to the biggest and best house shows in Northeastern Pennsylvania, will be hosting a Halloween Extravaganza with a diverse lineup of local bands on Friday, Oct. 21.
Doors are at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, and there is no set fee to enter, just a pay-what-you-want donation.
Bands include The Greater Victory (household emo punk), King Kong Hates the Wolfman (epic metal), Deaf Rhino (New Jersey rock ‘n’ roll), Ace & The Kings (alt punk), Chelsea Smarr (classy harp noise), Churches & Trains, (suitcase folk), and Condition Oakland (hardcore folk punk).
The Par Glass House, located at West Bound Sound, a plot of land hidden amongst the trees in Shickshinny, is a DIY house community bringing local and touring musicians to the kids that truly care about music. Shows range anywhere from free to $5. Home to Yardstock, an annual independent music festival, it is a donation-based venue that takes care of its own.
