Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Benji

This handsome boy is Benji, a 2-year-old Rhodesian ridgeback boxer mix.

He was found in an abandoned home by a nice state trooper after being left by his previous family. Benji gets nervous when there is more than one person around him, but when you get to know him, he is as sweet as can be and all he wants is attention and love.

He is a fabulous dog with so much potential. All he needs is a caring family that will build up his confidence and show him that not all people are mean. Come and meet this good boy!

Amber

Amber likes her basket, but she is ready for a real home to call her own!

Amber is up-to-date on her vaccinations and is sweet, lovable and a little shy.

Please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
